Concerned candidates spoke outside the Luzerne County Courthouse on Saturday, May 2, 2009.
Republican Luzerne County Commissioner Steve Urban spoke to the group about fighting the corruption in the county. Local candidates also used the forum to present their thoughts, concerns and solutions to bring honest government to the county.

Luzerne County Commissioner Steve Urban has been working on fighting the corruption in Luzerne County for years. Finally the truth has prevailed. Bravo for standing firm and keeping the faith that perserverance would be rewarded. Now is the time for change and building a better government in Luzerne County and Pennsylvania.

Carolee Medico Olenginski was a major threat to the individuals who cheated and lied to the taxpayers of Luzerne County. In 2001 her opponent spent $265,000 to unseat her proving her abilities were effective in the fight against Luzerne county corruption.
